Well not much happened today, but it was still pretty alright.
I woke up at like 12 pm eastern, tried checking my SG journal and my comp wouldn't work, so I bought a new one, haha. I then went to this "interview" at this local label in town. There was this girl I could hear recording and she was SO OFF KEY!! I wanted to scream "SHUT UP" because I couldn't focus on the questions that this guy was asking. But I don't think that I'll take this job, because there's nothing really to do, and this label works with rap music, which makes me want to puke. If I do end up working for him, I'll try and leave a lasting impression of rock upon that label so large they can't and won't want to fix it.
I'm also working on finding an intern for 45 RPM Booking for over the summer. I have a couple of girls that are looking to apply, but I have a hold on it for a certain couple of people who might want it, and whom I would rather have work for me. If you're a cool girl and you want an internship working for a national booking agency and local concert promoter, e-mail me through SG and I'll tell you what I think. Prior friendship is preferable, but not required. Oh yeah, and if you're a Suicide Girl, that'll help you as well, haha.
Tonight I went to see this local sketch comedy act at my favorite bar. I didn't have anyone to go with me so I just went alone, and ended up seeing one of my friends from one of the local radio stations, so he and I just hung out the whole night. The cast was actually quite good and the acting was pretty good as well, and the skits were surprisingly hilarious, I was holding my stomach at certain times from the immense amount of laughing. Oh yeah, and the bartender gave me free drinks, which was nice, even if it was just soda, haha. I also gave out a shitload of free SG stickers, and everybody loved that.
I smell like cigarette smoke and PBR, I love it.
I also went out and bought the new Muse cd. It's fucking amazing, if you haven't checked them out, go and buy it, their new album is called Absolution, and it is one of the most fucking psychotically unbelivably good pieces of musical artistry that have ever flowed through my headphones. Also go and get The Disconnection by Carina Round, she's amazing.
I'm still alone, and forgive me for being angsty, but it's getting to me. blech, even a date would be nice.
