Well, my weekend was pretty good.

It started off waking up really late (2:30 p.m. eastern) and hobbling into the shower, where I listened to some Youth Brigade (I think that's what they're called, it was on the radio) and woke up eventually. I then was informed that I was going out with my family and some family friends to a brazilian steakhouse before Purim services. The idea of a brazilian steakhouse intrigued me, and I wanted to dress up for the Megillah reading, so I put on my favorite cowboy button up shirt and went out the door.

The restaurant was amazing!! One of the best meals I've had (and excuse me for using message board jargan) EVAR!!! If you didn't know (because I didn't), this is how a brazilian steakhouse works: you have a small salad bar and you can have as much as you want. From there, a bunch of guys with knives loaded with meat come around and offer you cuts of meat wrapped in bacon....this part of the restaraunt proved to be absolutely hilarious when we had a table full of almost 20 jews and a guy showed up and asked us if we wanted grilled sausage..oh yeah, and RIGHT after that another guy walked up behind him and asked us if we wanted Filet Mignon..WRAPPED IN BACON. We were laughing so hard that I think the guy felt bad and we walked away (although I went up to him later and explained the whole thing to him, to which he responded with a hearty laugh).

Eventually the meat was prepared correctly for us and my friend and I ate at least a pound of meat (along with the sides of black beans and mashed potatoes).....safe to say we were quite full, but it was one of the most amazing meals I've ever had.

After the meal I went to Purim services, where my friend kept making jokes during the Megillah reading and when he fell asleep I threw my groger (noisemaker) at his ear and he woke up really quickly and almost hit his head on the wall, lol. The Megillah reading was fun, and the little kids were all into it, making lots of noise and booing Hamen, it was great. After services, one of the isrealis attending the service brought his ice cream truck outside and gave ice cream to the kids (I got myself a chocolate and banana ice cream pop, mmmm).

Today was fun, mostly because I took my dad's car and drove out to a shopping center to get my head straight. I bought some cold macaroni and cheese from the Harris Teeter, and made my way out to the cold plastic chairs sitting in front of the restaurant near the place where I used to work.

As I slowly ate my macaroni, I looked up, took myself out of my thoughts for a second, and noticed that the light of the day had turned into almost night. The sky was turned a dark blue, and the clouds were fading forward into the sunlight as it left the sky. I thought to myself if this is what life would be like in another city.....eating cold cheap dinner outside of a restaurant by myself staring into the cold night sky wondering where I was going with my life....it was nice, but I then concluded that if I ever moved anywhere when I finally leave here, it will be somewhere that I have friends. I also figured that I'd move somewhere with a nice concentration of Suicide Girls.

And since I decided to make a change, Tekky and Zelda have been replaced by the beautiful Kitten and the mysterious Zoe. I'm very happy about the change, I still got love for the local Zelda, but Tekky just never really commented on my journal/talked to me, so changes needed to be made. biggrin

In other news, a girl whom I almost fell in love with is moving from Long Island to Raleigh to get away from her crazy friends and apparently, to see me, so this might be interesting, haha. Supposedly she'll be here by the end of this week, so safe to say I'm anxious.

haha, good luck with the girl. Too much cold can be really rough...It snowed today - and I wanted to cry. For other reasons too, heh.
