It was New Years Eve. That was the shift I had to work.
It was hectic. Craziness. Whatever. Everything I expect.
Except this one thing... this table of three people, two guys and a girl.
I was running around doing my job, when suddenly this strange guy comes over to me and says, "hey, do you see that girl over there, sitting at my table? She wants you to give her your number."
This kind of takes me by surprise, so I meekly go over and write it down for her on a piece of paper. We exchange names and I go about my business thinking, "wow, that was pretty cool."
RRRRrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! WRONG! Before the night is even done, I received no less than three calls from her two male friends which I could only describe as "shit-disturbing." I told them I was busy and they could bugger off. I really don't expect to hear from the girl at all.
Why are people such jackasses? Not that that particular event matters to me; I was just working, but still.
