Today I'm going to talk about a past event, the birth of Kalakoa.
I remember it was near the end of July. I has just come home from another lovely day at work, just a hint of sarcasm there, and I put my bag in my room. All of a sudden I hear one of my cats yowling in pain. I go to check under the kitchen table and Frosty is giving birth. Blood was everyhere. Half of Kalakoa's body was already out. I then called my mom, she had served as a sort of mid-wife for the last birth. She helped Frosty out by slightly tugging on the kitten. Meanwhile I was telling her to take deep breaths and push(like it was a damn lamaze(sp?) class)
My mom then tells me, "Cut the umbilical cord."
"Hell no", I said,
"Cut the damn cord"
"Fine, but I can't be held responsible for any deaths that result from this"
"Stop talking stupid" I cut the cord and more blood was dripping. My mom wiped Kalakoa clean with a rag. We put the mother and daughter in a box and then Frosty began to clean her. The kitten didnt have a name until a month later., I'm not sure, but it means multi-colored. Oh yeah, I don't think I mentioned this before but Kalakoa is a product of incest. Her mother and father are brother and sister
b/c this was a long entry I'm only going to type a lyric instead of an entire song.
"What would I give to behold, the smile, the face of love. You've never left me. The rising sun will always speak your name."
p.s. I'm not quite good at story telling in case you couldn't tell
