My friend Marc is one of my oldest and dearest friends. When I turned 18 he took me to buy my first pack of smokes. When I turned 21 he took me to my first bar, legally lol. His dad passed away yesterday. I haven't seen Marc or his father in several years. As so often happens time and responsibilities got in the way, but we have kept in touch throughout the years. But, him and his family have never been far from my thoughts. Marc's mom and dad always welcomed me with open arms into their home. If they were having lunch it was offered, if it was dinner it was offered. He was a very hardworking and stubborn man whose heart was filled with love, not unlike my own father. Hug your mom, hug your dad, hug whomever is in your life whom you love, because at the end of the day that's what matters most. Most importantly remember to be thankful for every day..
