Okay so a quick update on the whole "Chris was stupid enough to fall for one of his friends" scenario. Looks like a non-starter. Nothing has actually been said, nobody has been shot down but I'm still not convinced anything is gonna happen. When i suggest we do something she'll generally have an excuse, even if it's a bad one. Also, when left to her own devices it can be anything up to 2 weeks without any contact.

I guess she's just not into me. Luckily I've realised this before it gets stupid, and at least now I can move on swiftly.

Next week I'm going to a Halloween party as Alex from A Clockwork Orange. I've got the majority of my costume so far, but have decided to eschew the codpiece. The whole thing was getting kind of expensive what with the combat boots and all, and i figured it was the least integral part of the whole outfit.

Still, I guess its worthwhile just for the fact its a party with guaranteed talking points. Even if i have nothing interesting to say to a girl I can always just compliment her Corpse Bride costume or something.

Got dragged to a meeting today in Altrincham. Worthwhile in the end because I've wound up making almost 45 in expense claims, and as silly as it sounds I'm a little more motivated. For a couple of weeks I've been on autopilot a bit, just doing the bare minimum each day. Now I'm ready to go back in on Friday and try to make a real difference. (Oh jesus im such a fucking loser)

I also got lost on the way home, and wound up driving round in circles trying to find the motorway. Then i stopped at HMV where I bought the new Thrice album. You know, as a reward for my ordeal. Fuck you, it was traumatic and I deserve it!

Releasing 4 EPs, each based on one of the elements is a fucking clinic in pretentiousness, but it works surprisingly well. I'm quite happy with it all round

So I guess I should address that set.

While I agree that it should never have been put up in the first place, and that in and of itself it was pretty fucking horrible; I think that what I hate more is how it's started to divide and fracture the community.

On the whole I think that despite the mistakes of the past week, I've got much more good from SG than bad. For the time being at least, I'll be sticking around. I've made a lot of good friends on what is essentially a softcore porn site, and it saddens me that so many are leaving over this - although I totally understand their decision to.

For those of you that are leaving, whether it be solely because of Nanageddon or a combination of factors that this whole ordeal added onto - I'll miss you. Thanks for being good friends.

Anybody that's staying on the sinking ship with me, let's try out best to distance ourselves from all this crap, at the same time trying to make sure it doesnt happen again. Things can be good again.
