Gahhhhh, absolutely nothing has been happening lately. On the one hand I'm happy that I've been able to relax and do the things I enjoy like watching DVDs and sleeping till noon. Annoyingly though I have a bizarre numb feeling that should probably shift as soon as I have something exciting happen.
Here's a list of stuff that I'm happy about :
* This week I had 3 days off instead of the usual 2 because I worked bank holiday. Also the week after next I have the week booked off for Spider-Man 3 and the SGUK Liverpool meet. I'm especially looking forward to the meet because its been about 6 months since the last one I made it to.
* This month I have managed to clear around 300 from my overdraft. No idea how I did that, but it fills me with hope that I can get it completely cleared pretty soon cos I bought a lot of shit this month.
* Season 2 of The Venture Bros is out on DVD, and somewhere in the postal dimension on its way to my house
* The other day I was on my dinner break and impulse-bought a fuckoff 5.1 amp from Cash Converters of all places. It's beautifully replaced the cheap sound system I had before and after a little help in setup from Martin_Blank I can finally enjoy the glory of 360 games in surround sound. My lackeys in work seemed almost amazed that I can buy consumer electronics on a whim. It made me feel superior.
* The demo for C&C 3 made its way onto XBox Live yesterday. I fucking love it. I spent a fair chunk of today playing it on Live against random people cos the demo wont let you play against your friends. After a bit of back-and-forth I managed to win with an amazing display of sheer luck.
* Peep Show is back and its damn funny
* The NHL playoffs are well underway and the Sharks made it comfortably through a first round that should've been at least fairly close. Fuck you Nashville, thats where your cheap tactics get you.
* Gamestation has been open for over 2 months now, so people are starting to learn we're around. Every day we're open is another day that a geeky girl might come in for a copy of Kingdom Hearts and end up leaving with my number. Okay, maybe not....but dreaming of bizarre occurances is easier than going out looking for women.
Not much else has happened, only really updated because it'd been about 3 weeks since my last journal. Hope everyone is cool
