Who wants cheap games?
That's right, apparently that job is mine. Went to meet the new store manager earlier on today and he seemed pretty cool. Basically said that he wasnt gonna interview me again, it wasnt worth it. He trusted everything the area manager had said to him based on my earlier interview.
Remember when i said i was on a shortlist? Turns out the shortlist was myself and one other dude, of which I was "far and away, the preference" You know, i wish they'd told me that last week so I wouldnt have been quite so nervous for the past few days.
I just need to wait for this guy David to talk to the new area manager about me and wait for an official offer from head office. Then i have to go train in Chester or Wrexham for a week before the store opens. Apparently they want me to at least look capable before I start because some of the people below me have more management experience than me - and if they find out it might start some kind of bizarre nerd riot.
Anyway i'm off to see Brand New, although I might have to start thinking of women who've screwed me over in the past just to put me in the right mindset.
