I'm way way way too much of a fucking pushover.
One of Dr.Girlfriend's schoolfriends from years and years ago got married today. Muggins here got dragged along as her +1. I had to pull a sickie with work which means I've opened myself up to grief from assholes and lost out on money I could really do with.
Overall it was probably the most boring, awkward and uncomfortable day I've had in many a year. I'd never even met the bride or groom or any of the other guests there - so there was awkwardness there with me feeling so out of place. It also didnt help that it was a church ceremony, and I'm such a fucking athiest that whenever there was a prayer or hymn I'd roll my eyes. I'm sure some people noticed cos I got some filthy looks.
The only 2 upsides to this horrible day were
(1) I've earned some brownie points with Dr.Girlfriend
(2) The place they held the reception in had a poster advertising Kung Fu classes not too far from where I live. I'm tempted because it'll get me out of the house and should be a laugh - Plus its one of the more awesome kung fu styles that doesnt involve acrobatics....just up close ass-kickery
