what a crazy time i've been having. so christmas i worked from 8a-4p. then left and went to my aunts for family dinner. there i got a gas pump liquor dispenser thing from my cousin's wife lori, who had me in the secret santa thing we do. there was of course many drunk uncles and stumbling aunts. i spent most of my time with my cousins kid, bone crusher (which i call him as he looks a lot like bone crusher despite being a year old)
then cousins planned a party for saturday night. from my parents i got a sweatshirt that i would never normally wear but still actually like, a frankenstein belt buckle, and a print of a painting my cousin's husband did of coney island hot dogs, my favorite worcester lunch spot.
my grampa ronnie gave me a bonus from the package store, despite me not having worked there for the past four months. my other grandparents gave me a coffee press and a couple of books. my sisters both liked their presents, my brother never gives a reaction to anything, and my parents were very happy with what i gave them.
then cam saturday. saturday i went to work at 8am and got out at 10pm. i could bitch about it being a long and boring day, but it's easier to just say that... it was a long and boring day. but at 10 i headed over to my cousin megan's place for the cousin party. which ended up being a very mellow cousin party as far as cousin parties go. there was much talk about tattoo ideas, beer, weed, and such (we have so many lovely things in common, haha). the girls got drunk and played yahtzee, the guys played video games and watched ufc. none of the shennigans that made up last cousin get together which included doing shots of raw egg with hot sauce and other various food related bets.
sunday morning i woke very excited. i was headed down to providence to see the beautiful ravioli. it was an excellent day. i got to see her apartment which is covered with all her various pictures, drawings, paintings, melted records, etc. and let me tell you she is a very creative and talented girl. she then took me to have breakfast at this really good place. i got a breakfast burrito witch avocado and black beans and she had pumpkin pancakes with bananas and chocolate chips. i then got a tour of providence. she even tried to find h.p. lovecraft's grave, which he were not able to locate. but it's the thought that counts and i was very happy she thought of doing that. she did point out his old house, which for a geek like me is one of the great wonders of the world.
we went and saw where the wild things are. which we both agreed was very well done. after that we went and got coffee, and then sadly she had to go to a family dinner. and as her family likely already hates me for always making her late to stuff we tried to part on time, although still failed.
anyways it was an amazing day and i hope to have another visit soon!
then upon returning to the lovely town on leicester i got together with my good friend john. we then met up with another good friend of ours nick. and all drove over to grande (who apparently we are no longer allowed to call grande) and jeff's place. this is the old crew.. me, nick, john, jeff, and grande. well grande and jeff got all douchey recently and stopped hanging out with the rest of us. but last night was fun, we all got along. we played poker, had drinks. etc. so it has been a great couple of days, my writing is off today as i started writing this and then realized i didn't feel much like writing but did want to get all this down. well i think i'm going to be nerdy and buy comic books.
