I got the George Harrison cd Let it Roll for Christmas and I was listening to it in the car today and I had some thoughts on it all.
Inevitably everyone has a favorite Beatle, it goes beyond the Beatle or Rolling Stone argument because I think it speaks of the person themself. Perhaps this as been addressed before and better than what I am...

I was thinking that I was going to wait until 2010 to write another blog, but I keep having ideas and thoughts swirl around and bubble to the surface that I thought I would put them out there. So bear with me this one might be a bit sporadic, but that's okay, always remember that.
First off I am watching movies today, that's how I...

That right there is old school goodness.
Happy Holidays to all of you out there in the world. I hope the holiday season finds you all in good health, good cheer and if at all possible, good company.
May the New Year set you up for greatness in all you pursue.

Why do I get the feeling we are going to be bounded together forever by Dolores? I think I'm getting attached to her now. This is not good. She seems less repulsive. Or perhaps it is that her black dress covered up most of her baldness last time....hmmm.

Holy smokes, sir - loving comics and vids MAKES you an adult! Those are no passing fancy. Those are a LIFESTYLE! All the best people I know have similar obsessions. Hell, someone I know is making a dissertation out of them! Actually, I should tell you about the performance I staged based on the Sandman series sometime. It was an all about Delerium show - the set was really, really fun to create. Good times.
I don't know any Soul Coughing, but the lyric is from Tori Amos. Anything I have ever thought, said, felt or desired is represented by Tori Amos. Well, Prince, Tori Amos, Amanda Palmer and Nirvana. Ok, and maybe a few others.
But Tori is a beloved. Prince was my first love. That should tell you alot about me.
What are you doing to ring in the new year? Hopefully something worthy of your awesomeness!!

Proof positive that the one bright shining light of late night television is Craig Ferguson's show. I was pissed that I forgot this was on until half way through it. Last night was his 1000th show and to celebrate it he did the whole thing with puppets. That is just beyond awesome. Luckily I tuned in in time to see Dracula's Lament performed by Jason...

In regards to your comment on my batman post:
Thank you so much for commenting! I love seeing other people's opinions on these things. And, I can absolutely see what you mean by Bruce being more comfortable as Batman. It does make a lot of sense, too...it's his means of both remaining anonymous, and feeling like he's doing some notable good in Gotham. I suppose I would feel much more comfortable like that, as well. Plus, exposure for him would be pretty bad...maybe he's formed an acute facet of agoraphobia? Haha.

At least you get presents! And food! I will be eating my frozen Banquet meal. Maybe I'll go for the Salisbury Steak meal. MMmmm delicious.
Today is a pretty good day all said.
Today my University of Montana Grizzlies played Appalachian State to see who would face Villanova next Friday for the national championship in the FCS division. It was one hell of a game that found us with a 7 point lead with 1:30 to go. App State made one hell of a run at the tie but came...

Oh, gravyboats, don't even get me started on Sandman! LOVELOVE. He is one of my FAVORITE authors of all time. As a southern fiction aficianado I find his penchant for macabre humor and indelicate situations most gratifying and quite comfortable in the southern gothic realm.
It was cool about SI. We are basketball national champions (ACC) many times over so the SI cares. Sort of. Ah, well - it brings in revenue!

Brief stints of upcomin happiness.
Tomorrow is the last day of my shortened work week and I am pretty darned happy about that, how could I not be? I took Monday and Thursday off as they were starting to do the end of year yell at whoever has days of vacation left to take, and what the hell might as well make it a four...

I adore Wonderland! I can't say I'm a huge fan of Oz but I do like the story. As for the Syfy take of Oz, I believe I enjoyed it more than the "normal" one. The story seemed more believable.
I think I figured something out today.
From today on I am going to not worry about getting to the end of my projects but just worry about building on my progress from the day before. All to often in my life I worry about the final product, the end result, and how I am going to get to that point so I can be...

Observations and idiosyncracies
That kind of sums life up right now, I observe to much and have characteristic peculiarities, that's about right.
I observe because it's fun and it is something that will aid me later in life, but I don't throw myself in there as much as I should, and that has to be combatted. I tend to tell myself that I will get...

I am trying to figure out why I can't follow my own advice.
I am the friend that is there to talk to, that seems to be able to help when friends need helped. I listen to problems and say what makes sense to me, or simpy talk them through what they are dealing with. These conversations usually wind up with them feeling better and...

Young adult literature vs. Literature deemed adult
That's kind of cryptic isn't it, well let me try to straighten out what I had in mind there. I recently read The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman an award winning book that is fantastic and really made me forget that it was Young Adult rather than just plain old lit. It made me wonder if the distinction...

You have perfectly articulated the in the process of writing conundrum. It is the stranglehold we put ourselves in! I hope you get through yours soon! I know I am glad to be counting down the days.
Also, I am starting to think we share the same brain ... scary.

Oh, POE! Oh, Annabel Lee! You reminded me of a lost love. I performed The TellTale Heart a few times - good stuff. THANK you.
