What you described with the secrets of others reminds me so much of my youngest brother. He is like you in that way. That said, if you tell him it is a secret, then he is a VAULT. Are you the same way? I bet you are! You seem like someone who can genuinely be trusted with the ish comes down. I am a vault unless I am told otherwise. I mean, I might use details from an event (without sharing the disclosure) to help someone in a similar situation, but I will not say WHO. If the people might possibly know each other, then I say nothing.
Your group of friends sound totally amazing. I do not currently have a core group of friends. Being in grad school for so long and them KABOOM out has made me realize how situationally dependent those relationships truly were. Now we are all going to different places on the map. Can we keep in touch? Sure, but we can't participate in each others' lives. Now what? I'm feeling the sad. Being so busy this semester has kept me from noticing ... until now.
