I'ma go ahead and get a little political.

Today before I went to sleep I watched President Obama sign the health care into law, and I felt optimistic again, actually it was more of a re-charge as I have been feeling pretty damn optimistic for a while now, and I was just glad to see that we are taking a step in the right direction, in my humble opinion that is.

I know that the bill is not perfect, but it's a beginning not an ending. There have been many bills passed over the years that were looked down on from the get go, and then they turned out to be something that many rely upon and thrive with. Personally this is probably going to cost me money as I have really good benefits from work and there is a possibility that it will be taxed, but you know what, if it helps others, that's fine with me. I have a good job with good benefits, and if that puts me in a position to help others, well that's what I want to do.

I have a union job, and the unions have backed reform and I understand that, because insurance always seems to be a point of contention when it comes to contract negotiation, so I understand that point, but on top of that the cost of insurance in realation to coverage and hassle is ridiculous. I applaud the fact that pre-existing conditions won't be something to keep you out of the loop anymore, especially when it comes to light what kind of things can be considered pre-existing.

It makes no sense to me that both parties could agree that there needed to be health care reform, yet one party worked to make that reform, and another party worked on negating anything and everything they could. They put people's lives in danger being the party of NO. They are so focused on November and getting people out of office that they are neglecting their jobs and constituents in the mean time.

We are a country with many advances yet our health care is something that must be earned. I will admit that we have great doctors and hospitals in this country, but the loopholes and hoops to be jumped through are ridiculous. I have become aware that I am of the firm belief that if there is something that can help you then you should be helped, if a scientist has devoted his life to figuring out problems like disease then we should celebrate their achievements by fixing those problems, you shouldn't have to worry about how much it costs when you are already stressing over health issues.

This might not be what a lot of you want to read, and I understand that, but these are the words caroming around in my head at the moment, these are the thoughts that are jumbled up in there, these are some of the many things I think about lately. They might not have come out clearly, but they came out didn't they?

Hi, I'm Matt and I'm a Democrat.

You do deserve a cheerleader. I can see that being a positive benefit. You have SO much going for you, and while it sounds like there are a LOT of positives about your life right now, there is also more out there for you. You actually accomplish a LOT everyday. Quite the schedule and such, you have. So to find the thing that is your passion and spend the time on on it would propel you To Great Heights. Finding that cheerleading to give you the team spirit (if that is what the kids are calling it these days - haha) or support you need only makes sense. Hopefully you will find that soon.

As for politics, I leave you a far to brief and seemingly purposeless: WORD. That is all I have for today. Snuffly still.
