I'm gonna do one of them thar music blogs because I feel that I need a new blog up, but I don't know quite what to say and it makes sense to do something with songs I really like, so here goes, maybe it will inspire me to write something or maybe it will merely inspire me to waste time, who knows.
I don't care that my friend thinks this band is gay, dammit they're good and this one starts out anthemic which is awesome, and Chris Martin is funny from what I have seen so yeah this song kicks ass, nuff said.
Couldn't find a good quality video one of that one so you get this. I really want to see this band live, seems like they put one hell of a show on, and that three pillar set they have looks amazing. This one is kind of haunting at first and then builds and builds and once again kicks ass, nuff said.
That one there is what it is, but the band itself is one of the best bands I have ever had the privilige of seeing live. I caught them when they were on the High Times and Hangovers tour with Dierks Bentley back in 05, went to the concert to see Dierks and left a fan of Cross Canadian Ragweed. Country, southern rock, whatever you wanna label them, they're excellent.
Heard this one on the 500 Days of Summer soundtrack and I have no idea how many times I have listened to it since, but I love it, absolutely love it, and I had told myself that I didn't like Regina Spektor, guess I lie even to myself sometimes. Oh well if we can't move forward and learn as we go then what's the point right?
Mika, you cannot go wrong with Mika. If I am a little down or whatever I can listen to this guy's stuff and it usually perks me up. I am a child of the 80s and I love pop music, absolutely love that infectious melody type stuff, and Mika is a modern day master of pop music.
So those are some of the songs that run roughshod over my psyche, that fascinate me, that are playing in my head when I wake up, that can make me stop what I am doing to listen, to take in the moment, to just be.
Huh, guess it did inspire a little bit didn't it?
