Well Baseball is over for my team, the Braves, so it's weird for me to not be checking scores, and rooting for my boys. I am curious to see how the postseason goes but I really don't care who wins at this point. Football season is in full swing and my Cowboy's are bi-polar in their playing, or at least they make me feel bipolar, highs and lows and all that.
College Hockey basically started yesterday, with my UND Fighting Sioux playing an exhibition game against Manitoba and winning 7-1. That makes me happy, show's me I have something to root for, something to look forward through all of this crap that is Cowboy football. College football is more fun to watch at this point anyways so who knows what will happen with all of that mess.
Finally got around to reading my Simon Dark comics, and I gotta say that it is one helluva comic, I already know that it's to bad it only got to 19 issues but I will have to go through them all to see if I should be pissed about it or glad that the creator's get to finish what they started.
Watching a lot of Doctor Who lately and really really enjoying it, have the newer ones on my Tivo to watch, and getting the Pertwee ones through Netflix, just got my first glimpses of the Master from back then, good stuff all around. Basically you have to love the Timelords and the universe's they live in, I do so love sci fi mythology.
Helping dad with the siding of the house, actually getting the steel stuff up on it and I have to say the folks' house is gonna be pretty shnazzy when we are all done. That first level of siding is a bitch to get on there but after that they snap in pretty easy so that's nice.
A dog went into heat a few houses down from here and apparently dad's dog has enjoyed that a few times over the last couple days, I guess she can get in under our chainlink fence even though he can't get out through it, either way it works out pretty well for him, and annoying as hell for us as he whines and moans around the house tryng to get out and all of that, crazy hormonal bastard. Can't blame him though if a pretty girl from down the street wanted to get in my fence and do the sexy stuff, well I'd want to be let out of the house too.
True Compass is a good book, Ted Kennedy lived a hell of a life.
Got my 70th anniversary edition of the Wizard of Oz and all the extras that came with it, and it's a thing of beauty, at least everything in the box is, haven't popped it into the PS3 yet, but I have that to watch, and Dexter season 2 on Blu ray as well so that's cool.
It's a crazy time of year as I need to crack down on myself to get my thesis done so I can travel back to Missoula and defend that and finally be done with my MA, yet there are all these new shows and movies and books and stuff to distract me, and I am a weak little man who is easily distracted by shiny things, must be why I like Crows, and Raven so much........oooh look Daleks.
