Today blows goats
Was at work and at 1pm got told to call home, figured it wasn't good, got ahold of mom and heard the tears in her voice and knew before she said it that my dog wasn't doing well.
She was fine when I went to work, but when I got home at 3pm she held her head to one side and had trouble walking, she perked up after a while but I knew that I had to make that toughest of all decisions and get ahold of the vet.
I had Shady for 13 years damn near, got her for Christmas my senior year of high school. She's helped me through some sad times and been there for the good. I loved that dog with all my heart, and now I will actually miss finding those black hairs on my clothing, those black hairs that used to be so annoying are now something I wish I could find.
RIP Shady, you brought sunshine into my life for years and leave huge paw prints to be filled some day down the road. I will see you and Mutzie again some day, and until then just know that I loved you.

right there with you. I try to remember that they are the enlightened ones. They know compassion, love, kindness and peace. They, our wonderful for legged friends teach us these things. And then they leave this earth with mission accomplished. Thanks for the kind words and I'm so sorry for your loss also.
