It's a New Year Bitches!!!!!!
These are the words that caromed and cajoled about in my head as I reflected on a statement a co-worker made when we were leaving work at 7am on the 1st and as I was watching the Runaway Bride episode of Doctor Who they forced me to write them down.
A brand new year, another chance at change, at growing, at working on myself, at finding out more about myself and what exists around me. It might not feel like its any different, but it is what you make of it, it can be a bright shiny moment if you make it one, or observe it as one.
That is the beauty of our time and our lives, they are what we make of them, they are waht we live of them, they are the power we possess inside, as corny as that may sound. It is pretty much as the Doctor says, "the humans are a fascinating species, making sense out of chaos" (might be a bit paraphrased), and out of the same type of thing we bring chaos into the order, and that is the true beauty of everything.
True beauty, something that is often ascribed to the physical feature but, rather, is something that actually goes much deeper and hits on many more levels than that, and is inherent in so many aspects of our being. It is in our minds, our intellects, our souls, our strengths, our weaknesses, and our understanding of these things, on what level of our understanding of these things as flawed but wonderful beings.
So, yes this may just be another day, another beginning of yet another year, but the wonderfullness of that is we can make it so much more. Unfortunately we can also make, or rather let, it be so much less by just letting it pass us by, but that is just another aspect of its beauty, that we are in control of the positive and negative things we do, and allow to be done to us. Things may no feel different, but they are always more than what we feel, they are what we choose to do, that is the true beauty in every sense of the word.
Wow, look at me getting all deep and philosophical and whatnot.
That is what I want a life of, Whatnot. Whatnot always encapsulates so many wonderfully random things, things that bring excitement, awe, heartbreak, fantasy, nightmare, and hope; all of these things exist throughout whatnot and I love that about it.
On another level, I want craziness to abound, not a schizophrenic way of life, but something that brings interest, fun and whimsy into life itself. Craziness should abound because if it is constrained, then it does not have the potential to inspire, to bring forth the interesting and the thing to live for, the essence of what our lives truly are. The order we try to bring into our lives and the disorder that is thrust upon us, that is when craziness abounds, that is where life is lived, that is where true beauty exists in us, or even when it can be created in some sense of the word.
So it may not be polished, but that is the trip my brain took me on earlier tonight, and I thought there was something to it, and something that I wanted to share, so take from it what you will, but try to take something.
p.s. Why do I love the sound of the TARDIS so damned much?
