So today, April 10th, something magical can begin to happen as it has happened a few times in the past. At 4pm Mountain Standard Time the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux will take on the Boston College Eagles in the semifinals of the Frozen Four NCAA college hockey tournament. The Puck will drop at the Pepsi Center and if all goes according to plan the Sioux will be dropping the Eagles.
Basically at 6:30 or 7:00 pm I will either be really, really happy, or incredibly pissed off, here's hoping for the former and not the latter.
Whenever these two teams meet up they play hard, and leave it all out on the ice so it should be a good game either way. On the other hand I truly hate Boston College so I determined to root my alma mater to a victory. Then if they win today we get to play the winner of the Michigan vs. Notre Dame game in the championship game Saturday night.
SO yeah basically, GOOOOOOOOO SIOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUX.!!!!!
update: Well it winds up that I am now Incredibly Pissed Off. My hatred for anything and everything Boston College has become insurmountable, there is no turning back from here. We were outplayed today and I cannot even take solace in the fact that they were a good team, I will never be able to appreciate the skills they might have, that is what has happened.
I feel bad for our senior players and the ones that will now go to the NHL, I know that none of them would have liked to go out on a 6-1 game, but I think they will be ok in the future, it's just to damn bad for them. We had a good season, made a pretty good run, but this was not our year, so here's looking forward to the fall when our next season will start up.
