Last night was the first time I have ever really loved Daylight Savings Time. As I work 11pm to 7am it was really, really nice for all of us on that shift. Working our usual shift and 2 o'clock magically becomes 3 o'clock and all of a sudden we only have 4 hours of work left.
On top of all that it was my Friday so I got to go into my weekend a whole hour early. The truly wonderful thing about all of it is that we get paid for 8 hours even though we were only there 7. It sucks in the fall when we have to work 9 hours and only get paid for 8, but hell right now in this moment, I truly love Daylight Savings Time.
