Boycotting The Oscars!!!
The Oscars had long been a highly respected organization. Supporting and futhering the media i love best. But after last years decision to give the oscar for Best Director to Roman Polanski, a corviced Child molester destroyed any credability they ever had. Here the guy is a fugitive, and still making movies and winning awards! Then since he couldn't be present for the award cerimony Harrison Ford excepted it for him. True Ford was the presenter, but my god man, that doesn't mean you have to be a part of the insult!!!
By insult i mean to the 13 year old girl he raped. yes it's been over 25 years but that doesn't change what he did, or the pain she's had to live with!!!
Wish i could have presented Polanski his Oscar! i would have presented it right up his fucking ass!!! No that not very Buddhist, but it is very Southern!!!

Simple. Fact. The Pianist was a beautiful, beautifully directed film.
It's an awards show. It's about their work. not their personal lives. Yeah it sucks that someone would sleep with a 13 year old, or beat their wife, or whatever, but that doesn't have anything to do with the movies.
I'd be more outraged that Nicole Kidman got an oscar for acting...something she cant do very well.
