Today's been an unexpectedly productive day. I've done the chores. All my washing is done, the rubbish has been put out, the kitchen has been cleaned, I've been to Sainsburys, I've been to the bottle bank, I've sorted out a bike and have gone for a ride.
All footling little things I agree, but knowing me as well as I do, that's a minor miracle.... Read More
nice to see you got that bike. We'll make a lycra clad, road warrior out of you yet
I can sympathise with the bad back. I've suffered on & off for the last 15 years. it starts to wear you down after a while Go & buy a decent mattress. Now.
I'm not quite sure what you going on about with all the "social life" stuff. It sounds familiar but I can't seem to recall exactly what it means
This weekend was without a doubt the best time I've ever had in Brighton, I couldn't have wanted anything better really. To everyone I met, including those who my memory may have failed me, thanks. Friday night was spent with JohnStitch, Sky, TheQuestion and Heavenandhell, having a very good Thai meal, while being entertained by Sky's drunken... Read More
It was great seeing you again at Brighton. I'll hopefully catch you in Bristol in a few weeks time. Did you know Erica's moved her bash to the Friday now? I'm tempted to stay in Bristol all weekend and go to Neyrissa's meet as well.
BTW, did you post that photo of Tom & myself? I can't believe that I ever appear in a cracking picture.
Ah, it's been a while my friends. I would apologise to you for my extended absence, but it was probably for the best. It turned into a bit of a frantic couple of weeks for me, I realised that I'd spent about 6 days in a row in the house, I hadn't emerged once - I'd even ended up getting the housemates to go to... ahh hello squire!! how be's you? you were great at the weekend! really good fun! i told my fianc that we were to be married due to our overwhelming love of all things mighty boosh!!
Well, that was one of my more enlightening drunken posts I'd say.
Me? Drunk? Surely not!
It was a very good friend's birthday, so naturally a few ales were quaffed, shite was talked, then I rocked on over to one of the places that this delightful burgh calls a club. A kebab may very well have been consumed. Somehow, another hangover was completely avoided, which... Read More
I can't help but feel that I should post something here. As much as I like that Keats quote. It's just that I hate making sweeping generalisations, but why the hell are are girls so fucking mental?
If it's your year, then you must grab it by the neck, right? Or is that just the year of the Turkey, and it's certainly not that! Maybe it's save your bacon or string your sausages...(i've laboured the point haven't i?)
with you new horizons job (or no job) wise maybe this is your year. it's the year o' pig for a reason; why not that?
Fill for me a brimming bowl
And let me in it drown my soul:
But put therein some drug, designed
To banish women from my mind:
For I want not the stream inspiring
That fills the mind with - fond desiring,
But I want as deep a draught
As e'er from Lethe's wave was quaff'd
I used to work in a pub some time ago. Every Friday, a rather distinguished elderly gentleman would come into the pub, his wife would be doing the weekly grocery shop. He'd sit at the bar and order a pint of bitter while he would wait for her.
When I first saw him, I couldn't help but have that feeling that I'd seen him somewhere... Read More
That is very sad. he was one of those old-school actors; the ones that make shakespeare great to see. when he spoke did he have that presence about him? the good thing is he went peacefully in his sleep; no illness or foreknowledge. i hope we all are as lucky.

I have to say that's a bit of a loss in the passing of Sir Ian Richardson, I've always been an admirer of his performance. On the subject of the whole SGUK thing it's a bit hard to get into the "in crowd" when you don't know anyone in it.
I don't quite know what the deal is with my body at the moment.
At the moment, I'm currently sat in my room, listening to the Winding sheet by Lanegan, smoking a cigarette and drinking a cup of coffee. I feel strangely at peace with the world, in fact in a minute I'll take a leisurely stroll to the shop, going via the long route... Read More
To be honest Piggy, although I quite like MCR and don't particularly like Linkin Park - I'm amazed that they are both headlining! The mighty Maiden fair enough - I thought 'Heaven And Hell' would have been a good bet for headliners...and the usual suspects like Slayer will be there no doubt! Will your faves, the Clutch boys ,appear d'y reckon?
