Right.

So it's 3:45 am. I've just got back from an evening out. It was quite a good night, it started out with a couple of (appallingly bad) games of pool in a pub, from there, we went on to a friend's house, whee loits and lots of Mezcal slammers were had. Then we went to a club. There were girls, and I even spoke to one of the at great length. When the club closed, I went down to the entrance, and waited for my friend.

At which point, I get surrounded by a bunch of fucking townies, asking if they can have some tobacco off me to make a spliff.

'Sorry' I say, ' I've given three people some tobacco tonight, and they've all stolen something off me'

The next thing I know, some asshole is in my face, screaming at me, asking me if I'm calling him a thief.
'No, you see, you're just not listening to me' is the last thing I remember saying to him.

And then, he and his friends hit me. Really hard. In the face.

At the moment, I can't actually feel my face. I've spoken to the owner of the nightclub, I've seen the CCTV footage. And I've spoken to the Police. I will bet my immortal soul on the fact that nothing ever, ever comes of this.

Sorry to be so girly about a punch in the face, but in over 14 years of going to this night club (yes, I was very underage) I have never even been looked at in an unfriendly way. For god's sake, I havent been in a fight since I was at high school!!!

was this guy justified in his attitude that I should have given him my tobacco?

I'm going to go to bed now. And whimper. A lot.
