My little brother gets in town this weekend...(insert cynical joke about a guest actually showing up). I'm looking forward to seeing him, but not as much as I usually do. It might have something to do with the fact that on my weekends I'm either sleeping, working, or on my way to one or the other. We'll see if I get a chance to hang out with him.
So yesterday I worked until about 10, and then came home and slept until about 4. I love sleep these days...but I still feel like I'm going to miss something when I do sleep.
I rented some movies yesterday...The Director's Cut of Donnie Darko...I'm not that big into the movie, I haven't seen it in over a year. But, I'm hoping the Director's Cut fills in some of the gaps I remember being there.
I also got this indie horror film...13 Seconds. It won all sorts of awards, granted I had never heard of these festivals, and had a bitchin' cover.
Anyway...I started watching it last night and couldn't even make it all the way through. It was horrible...But I think I was looking for something that would have been on a high budget, etc. I've been ruined by modern big budget films. I'm gonna give it another go today while I sit around.
Went and saw Hitch, finally, last night. It was funny and 'cute' but there wasn't a thing to take away from it. Just something to entertain a person for the moment.
Today is cleaning, laundry, and getting ready for another LONG weekend of work at both jobs. But it's okay...tomorrow is pay day.
UPDATE:
Okay, after sitting down and getting into 13 Seconds, it's not nearly, or even close to as bad as I'd originally thought. It's not an amazing concept, but better than your typical hack and slash horror movie. Still left alot to be desired, but I at least enjoyed myself through it. Doubt I'd watch it again though.
