First off!!!! Everyone go say hi or welcome to Darren. He's semi new and fuckin' rocks. So go say what's up and make him feel welcome at SG...Or I'll fucking gut you. Thanks!
I don't think I've ever been this excited about a job before...EVER!
I went in to the theater to talk to my boss and fill out some paperwork, we were talking about my other job, the hours, etc. He was doing the normal, "Let me know if we need to cut back on hours, so you don't get burned out" talk. But that's not what I'm excited about.
First off, the oldest manager they have their is like...25, maybe a few years more, save for the head manager, or district manager, something like that...she's like 40+. Anyway, most of the staff is high school kids that aren't available in the day, but I am. So my boss, who's really laid back, and I were talking...and he was mentioning shit like, starting me out in a higer position, possibly even Manager, because they need two more. I was flipping out, internally at least. So we kept talking, and I told him that working the middle of the night is taking alot out of me, but basically I don't just quit things because it's hard. And again, he starts talking about seeing what he can do at the theaters to get me a good paying full-time position.
So, the list of perks:
Free movies (with some stipulations) for me and a guest or two.
Laid back environment
Potential for immediate promotion or the like
Daytime hours (you know...where I could sleep at night like normal)
Of course, I can't get my hopes too high, things may work out to where it's just money on the side and I'll still be working nights at the other job. But, for now, the hope of something more awesome than stocking for a store at 3 in the morning.
Gah!! This is fantastic...But I must sleep, work starts at a semi normal time tomorrow, 5 am.
