Got up at 5am on sunday and ventured out on the canoe for a morning of fishing with my cousin...always interesting coversations and good laughs...So we headed out and started fishing...temps were low around 38 degrees (F) and then we caught a few bass here and there but nothing like we wanted...we quit around 10 because the wind was playing hell on the water surface...ripples...it wasn't very good for fishing with lures like I am used to so we turned in the paddles and broke for land...home I went and slept in the hammock with my dogs for awhile before going hiking in the eve with Britt.
We headed up to Parker Dam state park and hiked up to a spot called the Vista.
The vista is beautiful...it is a quite a hike to get up there but once up there it is awesome. There are a few wooden benches made from trees to sit on and enjoy the view...
and so that was my day...afterwards we grabbed a supper at a little drive in and off to home...
hope everyone had an awesome weekend...I need to take another nap before work!
