So Chet is hobbling about in my Den...secluded to the den til he starts to feel more upbeat 
and he has this pink bandage on his paw...or what's left of his paw...and a soft blue collar which is quite amazing...he has left both on without any attempt to take them off which lets me know he's a tired boy. But he's doing well and has gotten several kisses from some members here as well...thanks...darn cat has acquired more kisses than I! haha...
My resp condition is improved...worked the past two days in a haze of hypoxia...fun actually, it let the night flow faster. It isn't quite gone yet though. and I awoke yesterday with a wicked kink in my neck and walked around work with a hot back under my woolie that made the patients have even more patience bc most of them know me very well from repeat visits to the ward and know I can be the nicest guy...until I am crossed then Deacon spills out a sermon and the wrath of God that would turn a black man white! And if someone dare "act out" I leave the pulpit quickly to lay the hand of the divine upon them in a most consistent way
It doesn't happen often but occasionally needed.
See. I am a psyche nurse...mostly it is peaceful and I feel helpful..occasionally someone flips out...and when some of those folks get violent...they get VIOLENT...2 years ago I ended up with 3 broken ribs and still had to take command of the situation because others were hurt far worse than me. We are trained to enact "non-violent crisis intervention" which are techniques to deter them and restrain. Sometimes they work but mostly things are not textbook...as I am sure you can guess therefore requiring some improvising...and I am good at improvising. It occasionally feels like watching ultimate fighting when one guy tries to "ravage the other" and the other cleverly slaps on a hold that brings the other one tapping out. I like to use tap out moves!
so my days off are spent peacefully walking the dogs and hanging with the cats at home...today. Also still recovering from pneumonia...it was a kicker! So today will be spent cleaning the house...I am a bit OCD...then rent a movie...walk the dogs...just chill. Oh yeah, internet of course...I have some stories to post up on my website today sometime also. I sort of like these journals...gab gab gab...
