Life is so busy right now. Summer truly isn't a time to be lazy for me anymore. *sigh* However, it is the little things that make it all worth it. I have not felt any ill feelings towards anything or anyone since my last vent. I'm not angry or pissed off all the time anymore. I'm just happy. Plain and simple.
I'm learning how to animate...My drawing skills are being put to the test. Somehow I will post the final project I do for this class somewhere so you all can see it. Amidst all this I'm frantically preparing to pass a test so I can be a lifeguard. Funny, I never really pictured myself as a lifeguard...Mostly because of impressions made upon me when I was younger by Baywatch or other shows that showed these lifeguards with big boobs, tiny waists, and bootylicious bottoms.
to what TV can do to a young mind.
I recently hung out with my cousin Kirsten who just moved to Portland...She's so beautiful I get self-conscious around her. Do you ever have those insecurities? Where just being around someone so beautiful makes you feel like you need so much improvement?
I don't really know this cousin that well, she lived in S. Cal for all of her life...I've only had the chance to meet with her about ten times throughout, and it was never for extended periods of time. I often wonder what she thinks of me as a person, and I worry that the only reason she hangs out with me is because she feels obligated since we're family. I sincerely hope that's not the case, since she's really cool and fun to be around. Her boyfriend Eric is a really awesome guy (whom Kirsten lives with), and I might be able to get to know him pretty well too since he is applying to grad school here at PSU. He's chubby and funny. He makes me laugh so hard my side hurts. It's great.
Also, speaking of getting reacquainted with people, my friend Ryan recently contacted me. He's one of the many "brother-friend-refugee" of mine that talks to me now more than he talks to my brother. He's really cool...we have a lot of the same interests in art and animation, so we have lots to talk about. He's also recently moved to Portland, so it makes me happy to know more people here in this jungle of a city.
I hope this entry finds you all well, I promise that sometime between today and tomorrow I will go make comments in your journals. I am actually in class right now while writing this, so I can't at the moment.
Anyway, go send your love to mechanicalmonkey...he's in need of it right now. He's been in a car accident that will cost him a lot, including working and a computer, and maybe even his car.
Lotso Love,
Tara

"I stalked her
in the grocery store: her crown
of snowy braids held in place by a great silver clip,
her erect bearing, radiating tenderness,
the way she placed yogurt and avocadoes in her basket,
beaming peace like the North Star.
I wanted to ask "What aisle did you find your serenity in, do you know
how to be married for fifty years, or how to live alone,
excuse me for interrupting, but you seem to possess
some knowledge that makes the Earth burn and turn on its axis--"
But we don't request such things of strangers
nowadays. So I said, "I love your hair."

I leave you with some questions:
1. What is the color of your natural hair?
2. What is the most important thing in the world to you?
3. Where is your favorite place to go when you're in need of peace? Why?
4. What is/are your favorite thing(s) about yourself?

This quote has been lifted from Sigma's journal.
"Dating her would be like drinking beer through a straw. Most guys wouldn't do it and it wouldn't be pleasent at first - but eventually it would feel really good."
