i learned on the history channel the other day why christmas is celebrated on dec. 25th. obviously it isn't christ's birthday, cuz this christ guy was probably born spring/summertime. it turns out that the romans already had a holiday in december, and since the early christians were trying to still keep a low profile they figured it'd be easy enough to just celebrate their holiday...
