So I'm hearing numbers from 40,000 to 50,000 dead.

I gave to several relief funds, but it doesn't feel like there's much I can do.

It was weird how isolated I was for a while there... in the house here. Makes me understand how people can do the middle america dream life thing. I guess you can do it anywhere, but they seem particularly subject to it. Wrap yourself in movies and games and the people in the room with you.

I wish everyone in the U.S. felt like they did on Sept. 11th. We should. That sense of being connected to the tradgedy. The fact that I watch the news and they talk about shopping statistics is pretty disheartening to me.

My family are good people... they even pay attention, and made a donation in my name for some other stuff for christmas, but it still seems like they can just go without thinking about it. I don't know... hits me pretty hard.
