there's this scene in girl with a pearl earring... where vermeer is talking to, um, the girl, and he says 'what color are the clouds?' And she replies, 'white.......(disappointed look on his face), no, wait..... yellow, grey, blue (very not disappointed look on his face).'

I like that scene. a lot.

I had a moment of pretty intense nostalgia last night while going through some old e-mails between me and this girl I know (why I have e-mail from 2000 I have no idea)... a whole dialogue between us building up to us *almost* dating. she started dating someone else while I was in the midst of trying to move to where she was, and I was pretty heart broken about it. She and he have a great relationship now, and we are still great friends, but holy sheit that got me in a majorly romantic/sentimental/nostalgic mood last night.... and still for that matter.

sometimes I think I'll never be in another relationship... for many reasons... but who the fuck am I kidding.

I need a year off.



On the plus side, I'm going to play in the desert soon

damn, I'm going to miss the perseid meteor showers too... wish I had a car sometimes. just sometimes though.
