1) When does liking someone a lot become loving that person?
When you cannot think of anything you are willing to do without them.
2) Is there a job you would do for free, and is it your current job?
I would do some jobs for free. Mostly I feel that way about my job. Mostly.
3) What is one person/thing that inspired you to take action of some sort?
Dad asked me everyday for years on end: "Are you gonna amount to anything?"
4) Though you might not believe in it, would you like fate to exist?
Sure, less responsibly for me, right?
5) What's the kindest thing that anyone has ever done for you?
Sugarmama married me.

____ Strikes

1. Do you believe in good and/or bad luck?
Sure. Why not?
2. Do you believe there is one man/woman luckier than all the rest?
I believe good things are more likely to happen to good people.
3. When was the last time you considered yourself lucky?
I wake up next to a goddess every morning. I ooze luck.
4. What is the most unlucky thing to ever happen to you?
Getting sick while in Las Vegas.
5. Where do you think luck (good or bad) comes from?
I think Karma and Luck are one in the same. Put good out and good will come back. At the same time though I believe in balance. Take that for what you will.

Thanks for the ...

1. What is your earliest memory?
I remember conducting an interview with my Mom as she changed my diaper. I had a playschool big blue plastic bolt that I thought looked like a microphone.
2. What is your earliest memory of being aware of your race? How about gender? Socio-economic status? Religious identity?
We were at Gilcrease Museum and Dad told me I was Cherokee. I denied it and told him I was a cowboy and they (the rest of my family) might be Indians but they found me and adopted me. I am the only boy of the three kids so I was aware of being male from the start. I used to think everyone lived as well as we did until I started school. It was clear from early on that we were capitalist. Instead of going to church on Sunday mornings we rode around in a car with Dad asking us what type of business we would put on this land here or in that storefront there. In football season he would ask us how much money was coming into a community that had a team with a winning season versus a losing streak.
3. What kinds of things do you remember easily? What's hard for you to remember?
I think everyone remembers the bad and the unfortunate and struggle to recall the smaller happy things. The crushing blows are fresh years later but the moments of inspiration are foggy mere moments later.
4. What do you think of as the first historical or political event you were aware of?
I remember hoping Reagan would be a friend to business and would improve the economy. People vote their pocketbooks was an early lesson.
5. How connected do you feel like your childhood memories are to those of others of your generation? Does that still influence you today? If so, how?
Mom was 36 and Dad was 35 when I was born. Most people my age had parents that were about ten years younger than mine. While Woodstock was a touchstone for their parents Elvis being drafted was more important by far in my house. As a result I felt a bit out of touch with my peers. Our parents are our models of God. My models had more experience, passport stamps, stories, just time on earth. In short, my models were better than theirs.

Stranded!
It's the "stranded on a desert island" question! You can only take one thing from each category. What is it and why are you taking it?

1. A food that can be planted and regrown.
Corn.
2. A person you haven't seen in a long time.
MacGuyver.
3. A book you (were) read as a child.
Where the Red Fern Grows
4. A celebrity.
That guy on Extreme Makeover Home Edition - Let's make that hut!
5. The entire episode run of a television show (it's a very nice desert island).
Dead like Me.

Confront!

1. What is this, some kind of joke?
Yes, didn't you know? I thought everybody knew that. All that matters is that I am entertained.
2. Just who do you think you are, anyway?
I am that MuthaFucka that you have to deal with. I am the fly in your Vaseline. Nothing can stop me.
3. What difference does it make?
It makes all the difference in the world. You just have to make it so.
4. Do you expect me to believe that?
I don't care if you believe. The blind may not believe in the sun. That doesn't make the sun any less bright, doesn't make it burn any less.
5. What does it all mean?
It means that you and I are here now. Damn what it will mean tomorrow. What will you and I have it mean today...now?
