Ah, 2008 is here standing over our limp broken bodies still holding the blunt instrument that will someday be referred to as "exhibit A". I read in someblog or some my-opinion-is-better-than-yours or other that 2007 was a year of endings and 2008 would be a year of beginnings. This last year was a real MoFo. I don't know anyone personally that didn't have their fair share of scrapes and fights these past twelve months. Some beat down the opponents and came out the victors. Stronger and more seasoned they now face the new year. Some have the scars to show for their trials. The rest will never be the same ever again, as if they are no longer whole. I lost a bit more of my childhood this year. That is fine. I have been waiting to clear that shelf. I still have some left and I cherish the remaining all the more. I really feel the next year will be one for the books. I already lead a charmed life. If you have been paying attention and the ease of my winnings, the way my success seems predetermined fills you with envy or even hate then strap yourself in. Allow me to re-introduce myself I am The Eagle. I look about and forward at the possible pit falls along my path and pull out my "Art Card". Never leave home without it. I pound my chest and scream at the sky: "Is that all you got!? I ought to stomp your ass for even sniffing for failure around me!" Bring it on 2008. No more caffeine for me.
