so i started my new job over at the spot yesterday
and it was good i worked in the main dinning room from 4 till 10
i had the cutes little old married couple at the end the man reminded me of my dad
ah and some of the flaming dames were on hand for a little t&a to a mardi gras theme
and my realy good friend ken showed up for a few drinks too (he better he lives a block away so he has no excuse)
so i go in tonight for training in the upstairs bar 7 to close im kinda excited
then im "on-call" tomorrow for the superbowl
i think thats kinda funny on-call"
am i going to get a call "Paging bartender thanise, someone needs 3cc's of jameson STAT"
actually that would be kinda cool
ohh and we have tastings every tuesday $10 for 6 to 8 tastings and a glass of your choice
not just wine either i signed up for an irish wiskey tasting on march 11th if anyone is intrested in joining me
there is a winre tasting on the 19 of feb too
oh and another cool thing for the holidays we have drink contests among the staff
we have a St Patties day contest coming up and i have to try and think of a drink to makeup
the best of the drinks get a judging on tuesday the Feb26 and the person who comes up with the drink that gets ordered the most wins a $$$ prize
i like the idea of winning prizes for working hard
ive never worked at a bar or resturant that gave out bonases and i do love gettin money
the only problem is i have to work out a scedual to have some tuesdays off at holiday
when i told danielle today she almost cried
i feel bad butt i really want this new job to work out and there really is a better prospect for making money
ohh and the food there holy shit its good i think the calamari there is in my top two ever
and thats saying alot cuz im picky about my squid
shit now im hungry any way time to get some grub in me befor i have to head to work
