I realised today that no matter how hard you work or how nice you are to people, that they will always screw you over in the end. I try my hardest at everything I do, I really do. I keep my mouth zipped when it needs to be and I can make conversation with everyone, I work long shifts, I work multiple jobs and go to college 3 days a week. I stay out of trouble, I help those people who are less fortunate then myself and I never ask for a single thing in return. But today really took the biscuit.
I went into work today and my boss left me and my two co-workers a list of jobs to do about ten roughly. I went in started getting peoples orders ready came out got the shop ready to open, then went and started working on the jobs on the list. But the other two just stood there pretty much the whole time. I can understand the younger guy hes only 15 but shes 24 and knows better. So I went through the list of jobs and realised Id done 8 out of the ten jobs. I then went about finding other jobs to do because the other two seemed to be quite content standing there not doing very much. Anyway lunch came and then it was time for them to go home. Fast forward a little bit and the chef from the place I work in strolls in and annouces hed got his licence back. My boss asks why he had it taken away in the first place, turns out he got pulled over because he was driving high. And he quite happily admitted this right in front of his boss and the owner of the farm. Even worse was the fact they didnt seem to give a shit. Fast forward again and its the end of the day my boss asks if she could have a quick word with me. So I hop skip out to the back and then she tells me because shes just taken on the 24 year old who also happens to be her best friend she will be cutting down my hours to 3 a week. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. Im the one slogging my guts out here, and Im the one that gets practically fired!?! That cuts out about 60 a week. I came in from work told my dad what happened but he somehow decides to make it look as if its my fault. So I walk out the room and sit in the kitchen and cry a little, at which point he realises hes been a bastard and makes me a cup of tea. Id just got everything sorted money wise then all of a sudden I doubt Ill be able to go to any of the gigs Ive been planning to go to or go anywhere for that matter.
Everything I done for that family and they throw it back in my face, over summer I done extra hours and I worked 60+ hours every week. It just goes to show you that people will always screw you over when you least expect it. I guess at least it shows friends are always there for each other even when it means you make your year long employee fucking skint. CHEERS.
