I'm at a point where I come to the realisation we know exactly what is goddamn good for us yet still manage to sabotage our wellbeing and hope for a fruitful future. I am no different. We spend our lives working towards trying to make an impact, contentment, happiness and for what when WE are our own poison?
I feel that is why many of us self medicate. We cannot deal, do not want to deal. Why should we deal, when we can try to enjoy life in our own ignorance.
Ignorance IS bliss.
Dying is inevitable.
My life motto has always been: As long as you are happy doing whatever you want and not hurting yourself or others then so be it.
You have one life. Fuck it. Go crazy. Buddhism tells us to live in the present. The past has come and gone and cannot be changed, the future has not even happened so why be concerned with the matter?
Do what you have always wanted and who gives a shit about the consequences.
