LONG HARD ROAD OUT OF HELL.
So. I am now confident enough to say it's definitely happening. What was supposed to be a short run of my stage thriller NEVERMORE this past April as a late-night production with no budget has turned into a one-month mainstage production with a $12,000 budget, professional sound, set, lights, actors, producers and a decent promotional campaign. True, I'm the one spending the $12,000, but it will all be SO worth it.
I had day one of casting yesterday. I was looking for my three leads and I definitely found my two main actors and two sets of back-ups for them. But my girls flaked. I'm just sayin' - that obnoxious rumor about actresses being flaky has some truth. HALF of the girls SCHEDULED THROUGH MY PRODUCER WITH TIME SLOTS didn't show up.
Incidentally. ; ) I'm looking for a 20-something,thin, pale lady to play a ghost.... or what MAY be a ghost. If any of the lovely ladies on the site fancy an audition, please email me with pic and resume at mattritchey1974@gmail.com asap. The auditions are also up on Actors Access and Breakdown Services. Auditions are on Wednesday night.
I'll find somebody on Wednesday. I know I will. And this show is going to be amazing. I'll be putting up more in the coming months, but mark your calendars for January of '11, my friends.
