We lost power yesterday afternoon, so Misti came and got me - we went back to her house which still had power.

I had an awful sleep. I was so worried about my Dad, who is in the flood zone.

Misti was kind enough to drive me down there today. We didn't know what we were driving into, and needless to say - I was elated when I saw that the water was over 2 blocks away from his house.

We walked down the road. This is a friends ground floor unit..


Thankfully, they got everything out that they needed!

This is their driveway - you can see how much the floodwater had receded already.


There's a road under here somewhere..


Two of the houses in this mess somewhere, are other friends of the family.


It was a real eye opener to see it firsthand, and not just on the news.
