My puppies and I slept on the couch for almost 2 hours today. Peanut under my legs, and Butter at my head.
I'm so glad today was a public holiday. I really needed the day off.
The rest of the week is going to suck. My boss is back from her honeymoon. I really don't want to see her.

A few weeks ago an Aussie friend of mine asked what our two public "Bank holidays" in May are, and after a few minutes I gave up! They must've served a historic purpose, but now they're just an excuse to go back to work sunburnt and hungover on a Tuesday...
So there ya go-- we have holidays for no particular reason and when we DO have a reason, we merge them in with weekends because we have too many days off already!
