@texashomeboy  Be true to yourself...ultimately the only things that any of us can control are our own actions and emotions. As long as you are not looking for (or expecting) anything in return beyond basic human decency and gratitude, then I think that you should give any help that you deem reasonable...especially since you seem to be a genuinely helpful person.
