Another long overdue blog! I really need to get back into the swing of things and back into my old routine of blogging at least once a month. Not a whole lot of photos in this blog as the photo uploader has been giving me issues for a while.
Picking up where I left off in my last blog to get caught up, the holidays at work (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Valentine's Day) weren't too crazy. We had several large orders but we were very prepared so everything went smoothly, unlike last year where I was working 13 hour shifts and getting by on 4 hours of sleep. Easter is probably our biggest holiday next to Christmas so I will probably work more hours. I also got another raise on my 3 year anniversary which is always awesome.
Got a new washer and dryer set for black Friday as my old dryer was tearing up pretty much everything that I threw in there. I had a relaxing Christmas with family and didn't stuff myself silly with food over the holidays for once. We had a secret Santa get together for my job and my Santa got me candy, which was the only thing I wanted haha. I have come to acknowledge that I have an addiction to tootsie pops. The giant pop in the bag held 25 and I finished them off pretty quick. I also got 8 boxes of gushers that I finished in a few weeks.
After about 4 years of avoiding it, I finally decided to start going to a salon and I'm glad I did. I had to cut off 2 inches of split ends but it grew back pretty quick. My hair is a lot healthier and is growing a lot faster which I'm pretty happy about. I also did something that I have been meaning to do which is buy something from Masuimi Max's makeup line. I got some gloss and lipstick and they both last all day!
As an early birthday present to myself I had more work done on my half sleeve with two sessions in one week. I was starting to peel by my second session which you can probably see. It's pretty much almost finished, it's just a small gap to fill in on the side of my arm to connect it all. Shoulders suck by the way, mine took forever to heal and I took a few days off of work because I knew I wouldn't be able to move my arm properly to do my job.
For my birthday that was on the 5th, my friend from work made a basket for me full of delicious treats. I told her kiwi was one of my favorite fruits when she asked what I liked so she made kiwi sugar cookies, cupcakes, and a jar of jam! I ate all of the cookies in about 3 days so I plan to make more with the jam she made.
This past Sunday I went to the Masquerade to the Atreyu concert and had a good time. I was hoping to meet the former drummer for one of my favorite bands that was filling in for one of the bands that was supposed to be playing, but they had to drop out at the last minute so I didn't get to see him preform. I did however get a photo with him after the show when I saw him hanging out at the merch booth. I walked up to him and asked him if he would be ok doing something a bit different for a photo, when he asked what I had in mind I told him and he immediately asked how I wanted to go about creating the pose and this is the result.
I was surprised with how well it turned out as my phone has been giving me a lot of problems. A system update was released but I haven't done it because in the reviews I've read, it's been messing up peoples text messaging to where they can't send or receive anything which I can't risk as my manager sends texts when she needs me to come in early or on a day off.
I haven't shot anything new in a while and it will probably be a while before I do. I've been asked a few times about shooting a new set for the site and eventually I will shoot one. I'm not in a rush as I've been working on getting more fit, and active here as all three of my current sets are under 1k likes. I'm not giving up on becoming an SG I just need to figure out all the things that I can do to improve so hopefully the next set I submit is received better. I'm very proud of and love all of my sets in member review and I thank all of you for your kind words and support in the time that I've been a hopeful which is coming up on 3 years. I've been thinking of trying to submit something next year as I will have been a member of the site for 10 years in November of next year. Just deciding on a theme, location, and who I'd like to shoot with. I would love to shoot with @milloux as I love her work both in front of and behind the lens but we'll see.
I will definitely make sure that I blog next month, as I should have more photos to share then (hopefully the uploader will play nice). I hope everyone has been doing well!
