ok, i've just realised that it's actually impossible to get a job at a record label in the uk. i applied for a job that you need NO EXPERIENCE for but one that is currently FOUR FUCKING PLACES BELOW my current position, but they won't even offer me an interview! WTF?!?!?!?! it goes to show that it's true what i heard:
