another update! wow! go me!

so i didn't end up going to the stag weekend in ibiza..... my passport didn't turn up, despite numerous phonecalls, and getting everything handed in and sorted in time. sucks, but at the same time..... i got some good time off work

on the subject of work, i have managed to secure myself 3 interviews over the next week or so.... all with better money than i'm on now, which is handy. if that all comes off well, i should be able to afford my ticket to canada quite quickly (i figure i'll survive on the money i'm on now, and the extra will get put away every month..... we'll see! great in principle....)

i saw a band on friday night, sacred mother tongue. check them out on itunes. amazing band. i'm really old friends with the drummer so we got to chat, and his older brother was there (same age as me, very old friend too). he's moving to florida in august, but we got chatting, and he came round yesterday. we had a few drinks, a nice meal in a brazillian steakhouse(!), and chatted away.... looks like we're gonna make some music!!!! thank god i've finally got myself someone cool to jam with (hurry up debby lou! you're wanted here also!). a few open mic nights look to be on the cards....

i watched an episode of one tree hill today..... i love that show. it was a tragic episode though, and i had that lump in throat feeling...... damn! but that's good! i like that, especially for writing songs! i can write sad songs far more easily than happy songs.....
