Well, I'm back at school.
The good news is, I don't have any students this year who I suspect may stab, rob, or stalk me. The bad news is, this makes for an uneventful year to come. I did have one temper tantrum earlier this week in class; when I asked the boy to come into the hallway and speak with me, he began ranting that he knew "how things worked around here" because he was 18 years old and that I should "wise up." Of course, being that this is a 10th grade class, I was overly amused by his unintended irony but decided not to comment. I have decided to take a new approach to life this year: low stress, no drama. I have even purchased a quigong meditation guide.
On a side note, every female I know either is pregnant or has recently given birth to her first child. I feel like something is wrong with me because I am not envious. I am, however, tired of throwing and attending baby showers. Halloween parties are so much more fun.
Which reminds me: I am REALLY disappointed that there isn't a Silk Spectre costume out this year. I don't mean the vinyl-heavy Silk Spectre II costume-- that's everywhere. I mean the old fashioned, pin-up girl one, with the red pageboy wig and garters. Such a travesty.

Such a costume would be entirely impractical for crime-fighting and whatnot. Besides, most of us prefer Malin Ackerman topless or naked. Get with the program.
