We (the band - The October Country - that one) just finished recording a radio session (for BBC Radio Wales, UK) this weekend. All live, sounded awesome.
Learned to shotgun beers, which was fun. Bob decided that in order to properly reproduce our live sound, we'ed all need to be in the same state we're usually in before a show. Since we didn't have time for a protracted pre-studio drinking sesh due to an early a.m start, Bob taught me & Ray a new trick. So, we shotgunned a case of beer in less than 3 mins, indulged in a few other dubious pleasures, and we were set.
I really liked the shotgun effect though. All happy drunk head with none of the heavy gut or sickness. Might become a habit for those nights where having the fun is more important than spending the 3 hours getting "ready" beforehand. So, most nights, I guess.
The album should be out in a month (still no confirmed date from the plant, I'm just hoping) which might co-incide nicely with the transmission date for the session...
Which would be neat.
And apart from that I spent today trying hard not to fall asleep at my increasingly unsatisfying job whilst reeking of beer-stained clothes and 3 days of sweat. Which might be one of the reasons almost nobody made any effort to talk to me today...

Shotgunning drinks is something I've learnt from London. It's great. Makes me puke though. ha ha.
