There was a time when all that was required to make you happy was you.
Not approval from others...
Not anything pushed onto to you from the corporates...
You needed no pill, smoke, liquid, or powder...
Just remember it for a second.
You would spin around till you fell over...
Laugh till your belly hurt...
Roll down a dune...
Swing from a tree...
It was so simple and so enjoyable.
Why did we let it get screwed up?
It really is so simple.
When did it change?
When did we start to believe, "you need this to be happy."
What convinced us, "drink this, take this, buy this, if you want to feel good again."
You know what? when you break it down and really think about it, it just doesn't make sense. It just doesn't ring true.
So you know what, I ain't buying it no more.
They can keep peddling their lies, i'm not swallowing it.
I don't need what they are selling, I didn't need it then so why should I need it now.
