I NEED YOUR HELP

Hi guys!

I'm here again, all about the struggle of moving to America. I've been thinking these weeks and guess California would be the best place for me (cause I smoke...a LOT).

There are some buts... Me and my boyfriend own 3 wolfdogs and I wanted to ask you if you could tell me the best place to live all together. They suffer if it's too hot (I know Italy is hot, but there are spots with woods or nature that are great for our dogs even if its hot) so I wondered if there was a place in California where they could be just fine (Los Angeles is quite hot I heard so maybe its not the right place but I'm waiting your feedback).

P.s. These are our dogs : Loki, Hel and Thea. We would never abandon either of them. They are our children and we want a home suitable for them with us

The Portland area of Oregon is pretty liberal and would probably offer good opportunities in baking, but housing is some of the most expensive in the U.S. compared to the rest of the cost of living here.  There is cheaper housing in the outlying areas, but those areas are generally more conservative.  And what @ropers71 said - no state, including California, is immune to federal law on marijuana if the fed decides to crack down.  It would just be a bad political move if they did, not that this regime seems to care.  Good luck, whatever you side to do!
