I'm having lunch with a friend tomorrow.
I told my team lead that I'd be out for an extended lunch, off-site. She was fine with the idea.
I kinda' failed to mention that said friend is hoping to poach me off my present contract, to work for his goons.
It doesn't seem likely that the backlog in our workload will soon lessen. That alone is enough to make even the stoutest workhorse quaver from weariness. The fact that my friend's company is offering a signing bonus equivalent to roughly half my current net income doesn't hurt matters.
Greedy Capitalist pig that I am... kinda' looking forward to a change in pace and some decent pay. Oh, and more travel!
