So my dad has done this thing for the past three years. He'll say he has a gift for me but he has complications and he never gives me anything.
The first year this started he was going to give me a pre paid Visa card but he had trouble getting it. Now I'm not stupid. He's not asking for credit. He's just putting money on a card. There would be no complications there.
The second year he said he had something and he was going to bring it down with him to the family Xmas thing. He didn't bring any thing and I didn't bother to ask questions.
Now this year he has something that is "in the shop". What kind of gift is in the shop anyway. He was supposed to call me today about when he was bringing it down and, what a surprise, he didn't call.
That sure makes me feel loved.

Oh Davey, I feel your pain more than you know....well, actually you do know. My dad still hasn't called me after we had that huge, "heart to heart." I bet he won't even call me on Xmas......you'd think after so many years it'd stop hurting........but anyway, I love ya!!
