Today is a new day! Much like yesterday! In fact it's much like all the other days - except it's Saturday!
Woo Hoo!
I have been running around all morning trying to get all the shit we need to practice today. We lost our jam space about a month ago, and haven't been able to play with our drummer since. When we lost our space,...

I have just spent the entire week working on a friends computer. I can't believe how difficult some "brand name" computers can be to fix, opposed to a clone.
I have finally finished it, and now I have my monitor, keyboard and mouse back in use. I was watching a clip on MTV's 100 most shocking moments in rock and roll this morning, and I...

Polyphonic Spree are playing the Coachella festival down here soon! it would be very cool to see them (I liked Tripping Daisy). And of course, Blur, Hot Hot Heat, Primal Scream, Johnny Marr..basically a shitload og cool bands are playing at this festival...but it's too damn exspensive...
Sometimes, it's better to stop things, and go back a bit, when it come to relationships. Sometimes we lose perspective, and have to go back to a point to see what it is we're doing, and how we feel about things.
So it sounds like you are on the right path. Just keep taking it easy, and pay close attention to both your head, and your heart (most people tend to focus on one and forget the other).
You have GOTTA love the Beatles Anthology!!! watched the whole thing in two days! Oh man, I love it so! Sadly, your comment about modern bands is too true, I would say...
And you WILL get to hear the CD soon, I promise! I'm just nervous...hehehe....

Those are my new red shoes. Hee!
I really do love them!
It sort of makes me sad, the only red "click for smileys!" on this site include an angry head!
I'm not angry at all! I just like my new shoes.
I also know this entry has absolutely nothing to it in the way of substance, but I have found myself feeling a little...

Today is the Day! I have finally got enough money to go out and pick up the Beatles Anthology on DVD. It's been on hold for 3 three days and it's killing me.
Arrgghh!
I'm also going to replace Aphex twin - Drukqs! Where do these fucking albums go? I mean really! Where do they go? I think I'm fairly organized and I seldom lend...

I always find dance clubs to be an interesting mixture of fun and frustration...I love being around people who can celebrate similar taste in music...amd I love to dance...and I love looking at cute girls...and it's a good excuse to get drunk.
But on the other hand, I find most people to be vapid, vain, and arrogant...and oftentimes it seems like a neverending race to be cooler or more "authentic" then the person standing next to you...and the idea of meeting someone and having a real human connection at a dance club is, most often, almost laughable...
And after awhile, it become the same faces, getting older and more desperate, and the same songs you've heard a million times or more...the clothes change slightly, the haircuts...but like the plot of some syndicated 70's sitcom, eventually each night becomes frightenly familiar...it just seems to loops over itself, until the club closes, and another club opens...blah, blah, blah,...
I'm actually writing lyrics about it for a song for my band (so excuse the hyperbole).,
Ok, I'm shuttting up now...
PS - Cheech mentioned a girl, eh? Do tell!

Well, the ebow is a shortcut, but sometimes you want the organic real thing, even if it falls apart, as Andy Goldsworthy knows...
My friend's brother had a cello around, about 12-13 years ago. I got to go up in his attic-like nook, and played the cello riff from The Cure's "Cold" over and over. THAT was nice.

I have just spent my night meeting up with a dear friend I haven't seen in a while. Cheech (yes I know, yet another third person reference) has inspired me with his latest journal entry to call a long lost friend.

I was naive, in that I thought that journal would make people happy, not all regretful or such. I feel like yeah, there's people I have lost and people I feel like I am losing even now, I'm not sure...but I've met, what, 30 (??) people on here in 3 months? Well, the point of the question was hopefully to make people feel good, and if you decided to do something good as a result, that's -- GOOD.

I think I was picked up by that ambulance last night. I was wondering why they treated my broken arm by giving me a sex change operation. The good news is I now look like Natasha Lyonne! The bad news is my arm still hurts.

I hope you realize, Telesis, that we are going to have to plays shows together now...seriously, congrats, and is you ever wann aplay Southern California, just lemme know...let's tour!!!
I think the reason that you and I don't get more recognition on the boards is because of fear; people simply are intimidated and frightened by our superior intellect and innate ability to think outside the box...poor bastards...

Godspeed has come and gone. What an incredible show! It was so moving I found myself fighting off tears a ridiculous amount of times. I began to think I might be crazy, until I started wondering around to get my head together and noticed how many people were sitting on the floor sobbing! Big groups of kids just crying?
I guess it sort of makes...

Aside from the occasional gross library patron, I can guarantee you nobody gets this close to me. No saliva is being EXCHANGED.
Can I just say, just for the sake of mentioning, JOHN FUckiN LENNON? I've been listening to Yoko Ono's Plastic Ono Band the last couple days and come to a conclusion-- it's not as good as John Lennon's. I mean, screaming "Eeeohhweeohh" and "Eeeiieeiieeiieeiieeii" only goes so far. Love that Ringo/Klaus thud, though.

Tomorrow is the big night and I can hardly wait! I have tickets to see Godspeed you black emperor! in Toronto.
I've had these tickets for months now and the anticipation is just about killing me.

yes, believe it or not, we in the states get our own version of much music (mmusa), and they still manage to play some hometown heroes. hawksley tends to rule from what i've heard so far.

why am i telling you to stay warm when the fires of good ol' american warfare are probably singing your toes as we speak. believe me, a lot of us wish we were secretly canadian right now. when i went abroad two years ago, i found it was much easier travelling when i told people i was canadian instead of american. it seems our foreign policy doesn't make us too popular around the globe........
War is up and in full swing today. This really fucking burns me, so I'm going to make a conscious effort to keep my opinions to myself for the next couple of months! In regards to the war of course!

ooh they are my bible... almost more so than the birthday book series by Joost Elfers and Gary Goldschnieder... if you havent seen them thats where you start with astrology... they have the birthday book, raltionships book and the destiny book (which is totally fascinating)
linda goodmans relationship signs is phenomenal.. it pairs every star sign against each other and then the male and female counterparts... so with me and my boy its a capricorn woman with a libran man.... that combination doesnt work so well the other way around... its totally out there
tee hee.. i am TOTAL capricorn... I'm bossy, dominant.. totally into conserving my energy and time, I dont say much but when I do its usually important and 'm totally into astrology and the occult which every good little capricorn is... (well most anyway... theres the evil capricorns but I wont get into that)
happy day
