Wounds that run so deep
Twisted, tired, torn
Lay my head to sleep

Thoughts crowd my brain
As I lay there pale and weak
Body wrapped in nothing
Numbed, paralysed unable to speak

Darkness invades my room
Like a blanket over light
The flow is nearly gone
As I give up without a fight
